Not sure if it was just me, but I found the jet pack erratic?
Hard to understand if it was going to give a big burst or short burst. Could rocket straight into the ceiling with one press. Or pressing 3 times to still crash into the floor?
Not sure if it was supposed to play like?
Otherwise its a good version of an age old game.

Frustratingly difficult. Due to the arrow keys being at an angle to the maps getting a straight trajectory is very difficult, combined with the acceleration/deceleration mechanics it makes steering slightly out of control.
Good fun.
Only thing I would criticise is that sometimes you can "bounce" off the crates. On levels like 19 where you are navigating over tight terrain with a crate it would just shove you off?

This was fun.
Nice idea, took me a few moments to realise I was exploding with a timer. But once I got that, I got it.

Took me awhile to actually figure out the mechanics and purpose of the game (I suck at reading instructions). Fun idea, nice and creative. Only reason I stopped short of 5 stars: me no likey the in game font seems too compact to my taste. Also you use o to refer to the tongue but that makes it confusing. I was reading use x/o to play instead of x/c.

We used a tool called Pico8 that has a lot of limitations, the font is one of those so we can't do a lot about that, you can also use a gamepad, and it makes a big difference while playing

Due to recent world events I thought I would take the time to revisit Newgrounds.
Played your Pico dating sims in the past, It has been years and youre still putting the effort in.
Big respect for you Moosh, its always nice to see the old names still active! Will be interested to see the finished product!
Took off the half star as we were robbed of Nene for the Beta

Hey guys, not a bad little project.

Pros:
-Nice concept
-Simple and easy to play
-Always good to have a main menu (too may games just start)
-Graphics are not exceptional, but I am old school and prefer this style

Cons;
-Starting light is too small. As a test I allowed myself to lose all my light except for the starting amount. However game is unplayable as you cannot see dangers. When you are close enough to "see" them, game over.
-Sound effects are a bit basic.

Summary:
Enjoyable little project. Worth having a go. Better than a lot of submissions, this is actually a playable game.
The main reason I havent scored you more than 3 stars is because you have a lot of room to develop and improve the game.
Nice job!

Pros:
-Simple enough to play
Cons:
-Enemies can approach from above and below, however player can only shoot left and right
-no melee weapon so when out of ammo unable to fight

Summary:
If you are new to programming and game development fair enough as practice.
But not really something I can invest any time into
